ACTIVITY 1:

Write a short story describing the life of Mexican Americans and African Americans living in Texas after the Civil War.

ACTIVITY 2:

Using the "Compare/Contrast Worksheet," fill in the blocks under Mexican Americans and African Americans. Describe their experiences from 1865 to 1900.

Then, compare and contrast the experiences of each group. List how their lives were the same and how they were different in the middle column.
